IntoUniversity Bow

We opened our fourth centre, IntoUniversity Bow, in late 2008. Students enjoy coming along to the Academic Support sessions, and getting involved in the FOCUS and Mentoring programmes at the centre.

Dave Horner

Dave Horner is our Team Leader in Bow. Dave has a degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He previously worked as an Associate Teacher and a Youth Support Tutor.

Kertrina Law

Kertrina Law joined us in January 2015. Kertrina has a degree in Law from the University of Warwick. She was previously a Youth Engagement Intern at IU Brixton and has also been an English Teacher in Hong Kong and an Activity Leader at Stafford House in Canterbury.

Dorothy Jarman

Dorothy Jarman joined us in August 2015. Dorothy has a degree in French and German from UCL and previously worked as an EAL Teaching Assistant and Homework Club Supervisor.

Hattie Parker

Hattie Parker joined us in August 2016. Hattie has a degree in Education and Early Years from Liverpool John Moores, and a PGCE in Primary Education from Liverpool Hope University. She previously worked as a Teaching Assistant.

Monday 

Secondary Academic Support

4:00pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.     
 


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support 

3:45pm - 5:00pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  
 


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support

4:00pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
