IntoUniversity Brixton

IntoUniversity Brixton was our eighth centre to open in London. The centre was officially launched in December 2012.

Laura Barton

Laura Barton is Centre Leader at Brixton and our Head of Primary FOCUS. She joined us as a graduate trainee Education Worker in August 2012. She has a degree in History and her experience includes working as a teaching assistant.

Alice Myers

Alice Myers is our Team Leader in Brixton. She has a degree in English Literature from Newcastle University and a PGCE from Canterbury Christchurch. She previously worked as an Assistant Team Leader for the National Citizen Service. 

Ben Westlake

Ben Westlake joined us in January 2016. Ben has a degree in English Literature and Media from the University of Brighton and a Masters in English Literature from the University of Exeter. He previously worked as an Editor and a Creative Learning Intern.

Olivia Jennings

Olivia Jennings joined us in January 2016. Olivia has a degree in Psychology from Oxford Brookes University. She previously worked as an Intern for IntoUniversity and as a Marketing Development Assistant at Save the Children.

Beanie Rowe

Beanie Rowe joined us in August 2016. Beanie has a degree in History and America Studies from the University of Sussex. She previously worked as an English teacher in Hong Kong.

Monday 

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.     


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support  

3.30pm - 5pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
