IntoUniversity adds to and complements most existing Widening Participation provision by providing distinctive primary school programmes, long-term engagement with students and a local centre.
IntoUniversity offers three types of partnership:
The university funds IntoUniversity centres which are fully integrated into the university’s Widening Participation and Outreach vision and operation at every level. Strategic Partners commit to providing full funding for their centre(s) for 5 years.
Collaborative 5-year partnerships offer excellent value to universities because IntoUniversity will contribute 50% of the funding required, with Collaborative Partners providing the other 50% funding for their centre(s), whose work will be coordinated with the university’s Widening Participation and Outreach departments.
IntoUniversity works with a range of university partners to deliver aspects of its programmes. These important partnerships include supporting visits from IntoUniversity groups and providing undergraduate volunteers for a range of programmes. Working Partnerships normally include services or facilities provided in kind, or contributions towards programme costs.
Our Oxford South East centre was launched in 2015 in partnership with the University of Oxford, Christ Church Oxford and The Queen's Trust. Watch our short film to find out more about our work in Blackbird Leys:
