Our first centre in Newham opened its doors to local young people in October 2013.

Poppy Matimong - Centre Leader

Poppy Matimong joined us in January 2018. Poppy has a degree in History from the University of Bristol. She previously worked as a Primary Academic Support tutor at IntoUniversity and has been a Learning Support Assistant within schools around Bristol.

Amy Pike

Amy Pike joined us in January 2019. Amy studied English Literature at the University of Cambridge and has a Masters in Culture of the European Renaissance from the University of Warwick. She has previously taught English as a foreign language.

Jaspreet Panesar

Jaspreet Panesar joined us in January 2020 and has a degree in Law and Crimonology from the University of Leicester. She previously worked as a Tutor and an Autism Co-Educator.

Law Amankwah

Law Amankwah joined us in August 2020. Law has a degree in Education Studies from University College London. Previously, she was a Houseparent and Activity Lead at Bell Education Services and volunteered at IntoUniversity Hackney Downs.

Monday

Secondary Academic Support  

3.45pm - 5.15pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.     


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support  

3.30pm - 5pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support  

3.45pm - 5.15pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.    


Year 11-13 can phone or email to book an appointment for advice on UCAS applications, interview techniques, and gap year choices.
