IntoUniversity Hackney Downs

IntoUniversity Hackney Downs was our tenth centre, opening in our 10th anniversary year. The centre held its official launch in February 2013 and was opened by Richard Hardie from our supporter UBS.

April Reading

April Reading joined us in August 2016 and is our Team Leader in Hackney Downs. April has a degree in the Study of Religions from SOAS. She has previously worked as a Workshop Assistant and Play Worker. 

Charlotte Stringfellow

Charlotte Stringfellow joined us in January 2016. Charlotte has a degree in Primary Education Studies from the University of Cumbria. She previously worked as a Youth Worker/Activity Leader with young people in Bolton.

Jenneh Edem-Hotah

Jenneh Edem-Hotah joined us in January 2017. Jenneh has a degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Manchester. She previously volunteered as an intern with IntoUniversity and also volunteered with International Citizen Service. 

Jack Hall

Jack Hall joined us in August 2018. Jack has a degree in History from King's College London and was a student mentor at IntoUniversity Lambeth. He has previously worked as a Tutor.

Monday 

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5:30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.     


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support  

3.30pm - 5pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5:30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
