IntoUniversity receives High Commendation at the Charity Times Awards
We are pleased to announce that on Wednesday 22nd October, IntoUniversity was presented with a Highly Commended award in our Charity of the Year category at the Charity Times Awards 2014. The awards ceremony was held at the Lancaster London Hotel and attracted a wide range of UK charities.

Edition five of aspire published
The fifth edition of IntoUniversity newsletter aspire has recently been published. This issue features interviews with BBC Political Editor Nick Robinson and John Allan, Chair of the DHL UK Foundation. We also hear from IntoUniversity Nottingham East student Olivia Lambley. Launch of IntoUniversity Walworth
On Thursday 10th July, our Walworth centre at Pembroke House was officially launched. Our wide range of guests enjoyed speeches from Dr Rachel Carr, IntoUniversity Chief Executive, as well as from Fr. David Evans, Warden of Pembroke House, Dr James Gardom, Dean of Pembroke College at the University of Cambridge and threeIntoUniversity students: Ramisa Alam (Year 8), Uthman Akinwumi (Year 3) and Jussepy Pincay-Tovar (Year 4). The centre was formally opened by Councillor Sunil Chopra the Mayor of Southwark, who cut the ribbon alongside Fr. David Evans and Dr James Gardom.

IntoUniversity shortlisted for Charity Times Award
We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Charity Times Awards 2014 Charity of the Year (Income £1 million - £5 million). The winners will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner and Ceremony in London on Wednesday 22nd October. Watch this space for more details!

Fourth edition of aspire published
We have recently published the fourth edition of our aspirenewsletter. In this issue we hear from Professor Graham Ward of the University of Oxford on his commitment to Widening Participation, and speak to Nick Wright, Managing Director of Corporate Responsibility and Community Affairs at UBS on the importance of corporate responsibility and employee volunteering. IntoUniversity launches third centre in Nottingham

Tuesday 29th April saw the launch of IntoUniversity Nottingham Central, our third centre to be opened in partnership with the University of Nottingham. Young people, parents and supporters had the chance to come along and see the work that goes on at the centre, taking part in a range of activities on topics ranging from engineering and origami to architecture.
Guests enjoyed speeches from Professor David Greenaway, Vice Chancellor of the University of Nottingham and Sarah Havens, Trustee of IntoUniversity, as well as from James Howell a student volunteer from the University of Nottingham and two IntoUniversity students (Enxhi, Year 10 and Aaryanna, Year 6).

IntoUniversity launches in East Ham
March 2014
On Wednesday 12th March, IntoUniversity East Ham held its official launch event. Staff, students, volunteers and supporters filled the centre, and guests enjoyed speeches from Rachel Carr, IntoUniversity's CEO, Hamzah, a Year 8 pupil and Meera, Year 6. The speech section of the evening was concluded with an inspiring talk from Nicola Brentnall, Director of The Queen’s Trust, who cut the ribbon to officially open the centre.

HRH the Duke of York visits IU Bristol East

On Monday 10th February, IntoUniversity Bristol East enjoyed a visit from HRH the Duke of York. The Duke spent time with Year 6 pupils from St Nicholas of Tolentine school in Easton as they took part in a carousel of activities on sustainabilty and environment issues.
