IntoUniversity Hackney South

IntoUniversity Hackney South was launched in February 2010. The centre is now firmly established within the local community and works with a number of schools in the surrounding area.

Becky Kendall

Becky Kendall is our Team Leader in Hackney South. Becky has a degree in International Relations and Politics and previously worked for the Metropolitan Police. 

Lucy Manders

Lucy Manders joined us as a graduate-trainee Education Worker in August 2014. She studied Hispanic Studies at the University of Exeter. Lucy was previously an Intern and Temporary Education Worker for IntoUniversity and has worked as an English Teacher in Mexico.

Louisa Mason

Louisa Mason joined us in August 2016. Louisa has a degree in History from the University of Nottingham. She previously volunteered as part of the Mentoring Scheme at IntoUniversity Nottingham West, and volunteered at the Open Art Surgery.

Danny Hubbard

Danny Hubbard joined us in August 2016. Danny has a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Durham. He previously worked as an Instructor at BLYM and a Development Officer at the charity Pragya.

Josie Allison

Josie Allison joined us in January 2017. Josie has a degree in Anthropology from Goldsmiths University. She previously volunteered for IntoUniversity at our East Ham centre and also worked for Safer London.

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.  
   


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support  

3.30pm - 5pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  
 


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
