Our local approach

We provide dedicated, long term support that can break down barriers to success, located where young people need it: close to home.

In 35 communities across England and Scotland, IntoUniversity centres offer a safe space to learn, explore and succeed. We believe in the importance of supporting young people in their communities. Being in neighbourhoods over the long term and building relationships with local families and organisations means that IntoUniversity centres are a trusted part of the communities in which they are based

Each centre is just like our very first: a local hub for young people, based on their doorsteps. Some of our partner communities are in major cities, like Leeds, London and Glasgow; others are in under-served coastal locations like Clacton on Sea and Weston super Mare. But in every location, we bring about positive, measurable change.

We know young people benefit from localised and personalised support from trusted peers and networks. We also know that more needs to be done to ensure young people aren't passed from pillar to post to find the help and opportunities they need. Place-based approaches that look to maximise existing resources and streamline local services are absolutely critical for getting this right.
