IntoUniversity Birmingham North

Our 31st centre or extension project, IntoUniversity Birmingham North, will be opening in autumn 2019 and is supported by Birmingham City University. It will be the first IntoUniversity centre to open in Birmingham.

Laura Duncalfe - Centre Leader

Laura Duncalfe is our Birmingham North Centre Leader and West Midlands and Oxford Cluster Manager. Laura has a degree in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge and a PGCE in Secondary Education. She previously worked as a teacher.

Bethany Oddy

Bethany Oddy joined us in August 2016. Bethany has a degree in Childhood, Youth and Education Studies from the University of Bath. She previously worked as a Learning Support Assistant.

Anna Pickering

Anna Pickering has a degree in Geography from the University of Liverpool. She previously worked as a Support Worker at The Challenge and volunteered as a University Mentor.

Nafeesah Chaudhry

Nafeesah Chaudhry has a degree in Childhood, Culture and Education from the University of Birmingham and a Masters degree in Global Education Management from Birmingham City University. She previously worked as the Student Support Coordinator at Arden University.

Suwaida Osman

Suwaida Osman has a masters degree in Global Issues and Contemporary Chinese Studies from the University of Nottingham. She previously worked as an Assistant Director at Explore Learning.

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.     
 


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support 

3:30pm - 5:00pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  
 


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support

4:00pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
