IntoUniversity Bow

We opened our fourth centre, IntoUniversity Bow, in late 2008. Students enjoy coming along to the Academic Support sessions, and getting involved in the FOCUS and Mentoring programmes at the centre.

Dave Horner

Dave Horner is our Team Leader in Bow. Dave has a degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He previously worked as an Associate Teacher and a Youth Support Tutor.

Tom Preston

Tom Preston joined us in August 2015. He has a degree in Criminology from the University of Leicester and previously worked as a Watersports and Sailing Instructor for young people in Turkey. 

Aniqa Rob

Aniqa Rob joined us in August 2018. Aniqa has a degree and MA in Education from University College London where she was a student ambassador. She has previously worked as both a Teaching Assistant and Market Researcher. 

Poppy Matimong

Poppy Matimong joined us in January 2018. Poppy has a degree in History from the University of Bristol. She previously worked as a Primary Academic Support tutor at IntoUniversity and has been a Learning Support Assistant within schools around Bristol.

What's on at the centre?

Monday 

Secondary Academic Support

4:00pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.     
 


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support 

3:45pm - 5:00pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  
 


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support

4:00pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
