IntoUniversity Brighton

IntoUniversity Brighton opened in Moulsecoomb in October 2014. The centre was opened in partnership with the University of Sussex and The Queen's Trust.

Laura Simpson - Centre Leader

Laura Simpson is Centre Leader at our Brighton centre and Associate Network Manager (maternity cover). Laura has a degree in History from The University of York and has worked previously as a Project Leader on a variety of educational programmes.

Robyn O'Halloran

Robyn O'Halloran joined us in August 2018. Robyn has a degree in History from the University of Birmingham. She was a volunteer at IntoUniversity Hackney South and has previously worked as a Support Assistant at CORE Projects. 

Elena Campbell

Elena Campbell joined us in January 2020 and has a History degree from the University of Southampton. Previously, she was a Programme Support Tutor at IntoUniversity and English Teacher in a school in China.

Oli Newnam

Oli Newnam joined us in January 2020 and has a Human, Social and Political Sciences degree from the University of Cambridge. Previously, Oli was a Target Oxbridge Mentor and a member of the Project Access Team at Cambridge.

Rosie Doyle

Rosie Doyle joined us in August 2020. Rosie studied English and French at the University of Southampton and has experience working in various roles within SEN teams, including working as a Learning Support Assistant, an Academic SEN Tutor and an SEN team leader.

Angus Walker

Angus Walker joined us in January 2020 as Programme Support Tutor. He has a degree in English Literature from Sussex University and has previously worked as a tutor with SEN students.

Monday 

Secondary Academic Support

4:00pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.     
 


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support 

3:30pm - 5:00pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  
 


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support

4:00pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
