IntoUniversity Brixton

IntoUniversity Brixton was our eighth centre to open in London. The centre was officially launched in December 2012.

Darius Abadeh - Centre Leader

Darius Abadeh joined us in January 2017 and is our Centre Leader in Brixton. Darius has a degree in Psychology from Anglia Ruskin University. He was previously a Personal Care Worker and volunteered with Citizens Advice as a Witness Service Support Worker. 

Florence Simpkin

Florence​ ​Simpkin​ ​joined us in January 2018. Florence has a degree in English and American Literature from the University of Kent. She previously worked as a Teaching Assistant at an orphanage in Tanzania and as a Ballroom and Latin dance teacher.

Esther-​Leah​ ​Davis​

Esther-​Leah​ ​Davis​ ​joined us in January 2018. Esther-Leah has a degree in Law from the University of Northampton. She previously worked as a Legal Clerk and was the Vice-Chair for Strategy for Our God Given Mission charity.

Kate Shaw

Kate Shaw joined us in August 2018. Kate has a degree in Music from the University of Cambridge. She was a Choral Director at Pembroke House and a volunteer at IntoUniversity Walworth.

Monday 

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.     


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support  

3.30pm - 5pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
