IntoUniversity Craigmillar, our first centre in Edinburgh, will be opening in April 2021 in partnership with the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Kim Hardie - Centre Leader

Kim Hardie joined us in January 2021. Kim has a degree in Applied Performance (Community and Education) from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Previously, she worked at Birmingham City University organising and delivering the UniConnect programme.

Jake Wales

Jake Wales joined us in January 2021. He has a degree in History from The University of Edinburgh. Previously, Jake worked as a volunteer teacher in South Africa, an English language teacher in Italy and in a language school in Edinburgh.

Kimberley Webster

Kimberley Webster joined us in January 2021. Kimberley has a degree in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh and a MSc in Publishing from Edinburgh Napier University. Previously, she has worked as an Editorial Assistant and been a Mentor with the Wave Project UK.

Loui Marchant

Loui Marchant joined us in January 2021. Loui has a degree in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews and an MSc in Gender, Development and Globalisation from the London School of Economics. Previously, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Research Base.

What will be on at the centre?

Monday 

Secondary Academic Support

4:00pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.     
 


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support 

3:30pm - 5:00pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  
 


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support

4:00pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
