IntoUniversity Hackney South

IntoUniversity Hackney South was launched in February 2010. The centre is now firmly established within the local community and works with a number of schools in the surrounding area.

Lucy Manders

Lucy Manders joined us as a graduate-trainee Education Worker in August 2014. She studied Hispanic Studies at the University of Exeter. Lucy was previously an Intern and Temporary Education Worker for IntoUniversity and has worked as an English Teacher in Mexico.

Amy Sunderland

Amy Sunderland joined us in June 2018 as Team Leader in Hackney South. Amy has an MA in English Language from Lancaster University and a PGCE with Modern Languages from Manchester University. Amy has worked as a Primary School teacher and as a functional skills tutor at Centrepoint.

Luke Francis

Luke Francis joined us in January 2018. Luke has a degree in History from Loughborough University. He previously worked as a tutor for Explore Learning. 

Safina Lopez

Safina Lopez joined us in September 2018. Safina has a degree in Sociology from the University of Leicester and a MSc in Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire. Safina has previously worked as a Tutor and as a Teaching Assistant.

Monday 

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.  
   


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support  

3.30pm - 5pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  
 


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
