IntoUniversity North Kensington

The centre in North Kensington was where IntoUniversity’s mission began. The centre acts as the headquarters for the charity while providing Academic Support, FOCUS Weeks and mentoring for young people in the area.

Joanie Woodcock - Centre Leader

Joanie Woodcock joined us in August 2018. Joanie has a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Manchester. She has previously worked as a primary LSA and as an English Teacher in India. 

Emma Bornebroek

Emma Bornebroek (maternity leave) joined us in August 2017. She has a degree in Natural Sciences from University of Cambridge and a Science Communications Masters from Imperial. She previously worked as a Lead Instructor for Mother Nature Science.

Sarah Ross

Sarah Ross joined us in January 2018. Sarah has a degree in International History and Politics from the University of Leeds. She previously volunteered as a Campaigner for Oxfam. 

Shemari Lewis

Shemari Lewis joined us in August 2018. Shemari has a degree in Applied Social Science, Community Development and Youth Work from Goldsmiths University where she was a student ambassador and mentor. She has previously worked as a Youth Worker at City YMCA.

Laura Leichtfried

Laura Leichtfried joined us in August 2019. She has a degree in English and French from the University of Exeter and previously worked as a English Language Assistant in France.

Jessica Smith

Jessica Smith joined us in January 2020 and has a degree in English and Biblical Literature from The University of Sheffield. Jessica previously worked as a Community Logistics Manager for The Challenge.
