IntoUniversity Nottingham East was our second centre in partnership with The University of Nottingham. It opened in April 2013.

Ellen Daunt - Cluster Manager

Ellen Daunt joined us in August 2016. Ellen has a degree in English from the University of Nottingham, and a Masters in Viking and Anglo-Saxon Studies. She previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Name Studies. 

Nic Hattam - Centre Deputy

Nic Hattam​ ​joined us in August 2017. Nic has a degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from The University of Nottingham. She previously mentored at our Nottingham East centre and worked as a Student Ambassador during her time at university.  
 

Izzy Mann

Izzy Mann joined us in January 2020. Izzy has a History and Politics degree from the University of Nottingham and previously was an Outreach and Liason Officer for Out in Education and an IntoUniversity Student Mentor.

Michael Spierin

Michael Spierin joined in August 2019. He has a degree in Sports Education and Psychology from Nottingham Trent University and has previously worked as a Fundraiser for the Canal and River Trust.

Shantelle Smith

Shantelle Smith joined us in August 2021. Shantelle has a Sociology degree from Nottingham Trent University. Previously, she was an Administrator at Jani Homes and Tutor at MyTutor.

What's on at the centre?

Monday 

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5:30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.     


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support  

3.30pm - 5pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support  

4pm - 5:30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
