IntoUniversity Nottingham West was our first centre opened in partnership with The University of Nottingham. It launched in February 2012, marking our first step as a national educational charity.

Lydia Derbyshire - Centre Leader

Lydia​ ​Derbyshire​ ​joined us in 2018. Lydia has a degree in Geography from the University of Birmingham. She previously worked as an Assistant Programme Leader for NCS The Challenge.

Elizabeth Hughes

Elizabeth Hughes joined us in August 2019. Elizabeth has a degree in Psychology from the University of Liverpool and was previously a volunteer at our North Liverpool Centre.

Amy Schofield

Amy Schofield joined us in August 2019. Amy has a degree in Global Studies and Philosophy from Nottingham Trent University and previously worked as an Officer in the Collaborative Engagement and Retention team at Nottingham Trent University.

Patricia Kamara

Patricia Kamara joined us in August 2019. Patricia has a degree in Sociology from the University of Nottingham and previously worked as a Youth Worker for Youth Futures.

Ash Watts

Ash Watts is Lead Senior Project Worker for our NCOP project in Nottingham. Ash studied Sports Studies at The University of Central Lancashire and was previously a teacher.

Amy Erentz

Amy Erentz joined us in August 2019. She works on our NCOP project. She has a degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Nottingham. She has previously worked as an intern at our Nottingham East centre and as a Nursery Support Assistant.

Josephine Scott

Josephine Scott joined us in August 2019. She works on our NCOP project. She has a degree in History with Politics from the University of Liverpool and previously worked as a Lead Mentor for Catch 22 - National Citizen Service.

Monday

Secondary Academic Support 

4pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.  

UCAS Drop In (Years 11-13) 

4pm - 5.30pm 

Advice on UCAS applications, interview techniques, and gap year choices.


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support 

3.30pm - 5pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support 

4pm - 5.30pm 

UCAS Drop In (Years 11-13) 

4pm - 5.30pm 

Advice on UCAS applications, interview techniques, and gap year choices.
