IntoUniversity Southampton West

Our first centre in Southampton opened in autumn 2015 in Redbridge in partnership with the University of Southampton and The Queen's Trust.

Sarah Theobald - Centre Leader

Sarah Theobald joined us in August 2016. Sarah has a degree in Education Studies from Sheffield Hallam University and previously worked as a Voluntary Teaching Assistant at Pathways Sheffield. 

Jenny Miller

Jenny Miller joined us in August 2018. Jenny has a degree in Spanish and German from the University of Exeter. She has previously worked as a Private Tutor and a General Assistant at Reading Museum. 

Laura Zamburlini

Laura Zamburlini joined us in November 2018. Laura has a degree in Psychology from the University of Padova and has previously worked as a voluntary youth worker and young people adviser at No Limits Help Southampton. 

Emma Waldron

Emma Waldron joined us in August 2021. Emma has a degree in History and Politics from the University of Exeter. Previously, she was a Student Ambassador at the University of Exeter and a Widening Participation Officer at Falmouth and Exeter Student's Union.

Monday 

Secondary Academic Support

4:00pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.     
 


Tuesday and Wednesday 

Primary Academic Support 

3:30pm - 5:00pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and a target approach to improving literacy and numeracy.  
 


Thursday   

Secondary Academic Support

4:00pm - 5.30pm 

Support from graduate staff and university-educated volunteers on schoolwork and exam revision.
