An update from Dr. Rachel Carr
As we begin to celebrate our twentieth anniversary year, Dr. Rachel Carr, Chief Executive and Co-Founder of IntoUniversity shares an important update.
“Hugh Rayment-Pickard, our co-founder, will be moving on from his role as Chief Strategy Officer at IntoUniversity to take up an exciting new challenge in 2023 as Co-Director of the education charity The Professional Teaching Institute.
Anyone who has had any involvement with IntoUniversity over the last twenty years will know the pivotal role Hugh has played in our charity’s story. And it’s been an immense personal privilege for me to have worked side by side with Hugh and to have been able to count on him both as a friend and colleague. While of course I am sad Hugh is moving on from his role here, I also congratulate him most warmly on his new appointment. And having worked so closely with him over the past two decades I can say that he’ll be an amazing asset to his new organisation!
Some of you will know that for the first seven years of IntoUniversity’s journey, Hugh served the charity as a volunteer – and I am delighted that he will be continuing his involvement with us in the years ahead through a pro bono role as a Strategic Advisor to our board and senior team. As he comes full circle to support the charity voluntarily, it is wonderful that we will be able to continue to benefit from his ongoing insight and dedication and I am very much looking forward to working with him in this capacity.
We thank Hugh for the exceptional and outstanding role he has played at IntoUniversity. There are too many shared memories, achievements, challenges and successes to begin even to list them …. but as we celebrate our twentieth anniversary year it’s fair to say the charity has grown beyond anything Hugh and I could have imagined when we first started out in 2002!
So Hugh, for all that has been –Thanks! And for all that is to come both at IntoUniversity and at The PTI – Yes!”
