“Virtually everything good that happened to me professionally stems from that first FOCUS week at IntoUniversity North Kensington.”
“When I was 14, IntoUniversity came to my school, Holland Park School, encouraging students to take part in a FOCUS week. I decided to apply and have been working with IntoUniversity both as a student and as a volunteer mentor ever since.”
“IntoUniversity has had a tremendous impact on my life and career. When I moved to the UK at the age of 13, I didn’t speak a word of English which made it quite tough to do well in school or even socialise with my peers. I managed to perfect my English. I also learned a huge amount about graduate jobs, university application processes and careers-related advice such as interviews.”
“As part of my journey with IntoUniversity, I was referred for a bursary to Rugby School which was yet another incredible experience.”
“Reaching 250,000 students is an incredible achievement and a real testament to the work IntoUniversity has been doing. Despite the name, IntoUniversity does so much more than just help kids get into university so it’s really incredible seeing it grow as rapidly as it has done.”
“In general, making that move from being a student to now helping other students – whether that’s through regular giving, mentoring or volunteering – has been my favourite memory. IntoUniversity has done so much for me so it’s great to feel like I’m slowly starting to give back. IntoUniversity was an amazingly supportive environment and I’ll be forever grateful for the help
and patience Rachel and the wider team have shown me.”
