IntoUniversity bolsters Board with the appointment of two new trustees
IntoUniversity has added two new trustees to its Board, adding significant experience and acumen to help the organisation deliver its strategy and further its mission.
Dr Nik Kotecha OBE DL
is an internationally renowned businessman, scientist, influencer and serial entrepreneur. He founded and led the inspirational growth of leading Midlands-based developer and manufacturer of generic medicines, Morningside Pharmaceuticals Ltd, and is Founder and Chairman of RandalSun Capital. He is also a Pro-Chancellor of De Montfort University and the University of Leicester.
In 2017, he and his wife Moni established the Randal Foundation, giving it a powerful worldwide reach. The Foundation works with aligned partners and organisations to deliver its central ambition: to save 1 million lives, globally.
IntoUniversity runs a centre in Leicester, Dr Kotecha’s hometown, in partnership with De Montfort University and the University of Leicester. Dr Kotecha joins the board having already played a significant role in the charity’s recent growth – with the Randal Foundation being one of the major supporters of the partnership, enabling the launch of IntoUniversity Leicester North (Beaumont Leys) in 2023.
Miguel Ramos Fuentenebro is the Founder of Fair Oaks Capital, a specialist credit investment manager. Previously, he worked at GSO Capital Partners, Blackstone’s credit investment business, having earlier founded Washington Square Investment Management and spent over nine years in Morgan Stanley’s Fixed Income Division in London. The first in his immediate family to attend university, Miguel is a long-standing supporter of IntoUniversity and brings a deeply personal commitment to its mission of widening access to Higher Education.
Dr Kotecha on the announcement of his appointment to the charity’s Board:

Miguel Ramos Fuentenebro on joining the IntoUniversity Board:
“As the first person in my immediate family to attend university, I have experienced first-hand the difference Higher Education can make. It is a real honour to join IntoUniversity to support more young people in realising their potential. My grandparents placed great importance on education despite limited means in rural Spain. Although my parents did not have the opportunity to attend university themselves, they shared that belief and made my education a priority. Many young people still do not have the same opportunity. IntoUniversity exists to change this, and I look forward to working with my fellow trustees to enable many more young people to benefit from its support.”
