IntoUniversity centres are Back to School!

As we speed through September, let’s take a moment to pause and reflect on the brilliant school holiday programmes we ran throughout the summer.

It’s a new term so it can only mean one thing – our young people are back in the centre for academic support and settling in!

As we speed through September, let’s take a moment to pause and reflect on the brilliant school holiday programmes we ran throughout the summer. These programmes are a fun opportunity for young people to spend some of their holidays exploring new places, cultural landmarks, and different careers. They also get the chance to learn in interactive ways both independently and in teams.

In the summer months, we saw some of our students soak in the arts and culture of their local area. The Hull centre took trips to the Ferens Art Gallery and the Hull Museum of Archaeology, witnessing an array of modern art, maritime heritage, ancient treasures and more. Likewise, students in Nottingham travelled to York to partake in a chocolate making workshop (which was happily received!) While in Hammersmith, students got to design their very own Olympic Stadiums!

Elsewhere, centres explored the wider world in its many forms. Govan students got involved in a range of activities that showed how we can all support our community. While the Kirkby and Liverpool centres got up close and personal with a variety of exotic animals at a ZooLab workshop! Similarly, young people from Great Yarmouth took a visit to the University of East Anglia to learn all about frog development. Last and by no means least, students from Leicester escaped to another world completely with a trip to the National Space Museum.

As you can see, summer with IntoUniversity is never a boring one! If you’re interested in learning more, why not sign up to our mailing list? It’s the best way to get the latest news and views from IntoUniversity straight to your inbox.
