IntoUniversity features on new fundraising platform Pledgit
IntoUniversity is delighted to be one of the first charities to feature on new fundraising platform Pledgit, which encourages fundraisers to put forward their own money to support the causes they care about, matching the donations they receive.
IntoUniversity supporter Nick Wheeler has pledged to match all donations made to IntoUniversity via Pledgit, up to a total of £10,000, allowing donors to double the impact of their donation.

IntoUniversity produces new report on HE access in rural, coastal and dispersed communities
IntoUniversity has produced a new report on access to university in rural, coastal and dispersed communities in the UK.
The report, which has been funded by the Cabinet Office Social Action Fund, looks at the feasibility of adapting urban models of delivering Higher Education access programmes in areas of lower population density.

IntoUniversity partners with ground-breaking tech business pi-top
IntoUniversity has teamed up with pi-top, the creators of the new pi-topCEED desktop computer, to help young people to develop their computing skills.
Through the crowd-funding platform Indiegogo, pi-top are giving their customers the opportunity to donate a pi-topCEED to IntoUniversity for each pi-topCEED they purchase under their buy-one, gift-one scheme.
IntoUniversity wins Charity of the Year at Charity Times Awards
We are delighted to announce that IntoUniversity was awarded Charity of the Year in the £1m-£10m income category at the 2015 Charity Times Awards on 7 October.
The judges praised IntoUniversity's strong model, excellent evidence of impact and the charity's work to identify the areas of greatest need across the UK.
Ths is the third top award IntoUniversity has received from the Charity Times Awards in the last five years.

IntoUniversity selected as 2015 THE Awards charity partner
IntoUniversity will be the Times Higher Education Awards official charity partner for 2015. The Times Higher Education Awards celebrate excellence within the higher education sector. The awards ceremony will be held on 26 November in London.

We are very pleased to announce that IntoUniversity has been shortlisted for the 2015 Charity Times Awards. We are shortlisted in the Charity of the Year category for charities with an annual income of £1m-£10m. The full shortlist is available here.

Sixth edition of aspire published

IntoUniversity shortlisted for Charity Awards
The Charity Awards 2015 shortlist was announced today, 11th May 2015, and we are delighted to announce that IntoUniversity has been shortlisted in the Education and Training category.
The ten category winners, as well as the winners of the Overall Award for Excellence and the Outstanding Achievement Award, will be announced at a dinner on 18th June.
Tania Mason, group editor at Civil Society Media which organises The Charity Awards, said:
“We had an almost record number of entries this year - just four fewer than our all-time high in 2011 - and the standard was excellent, so IntoUniversity should be very proud to have made the shortlist,” she said.
“For 16 years The Charity Awards have been identifying and celebrating the fantastic work that UK charities do, and the rigorous judging process ensures that only the very best-run charities make it through.
“We wish IntoUniversity all the very best of luck on the night."

Launch of IntoUniversity Brighton
We celebrated the official launch of our first Brighton centre on Tuesday 14th April 2015, opened in partnership with the University of Sussex and The Queen's Trust.
Guests enjoyed speeches from Professor Claire Mackie, Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Sussex, as well as IntoUniversity CEO Dr Rachel Carr and Chair of IntoUniversity Trustees James Lambert. Two IntoUniversity students, Tiger and Stanley, also gave inspiring speeches. Stanley was joined by his University of Susex mentor Lewis.

IntoUniversity Gala Evening 2015 - The Next Big Leap
We held our 2015 Gala Evening on Thursday 12th March, welcoming 250 guests to the Royal Institute of British Architects in Portland Place, London. The evening was a great success and we would like to thank everyone who was part of it, in particular our three student speakers Mohamed, Ellise and Douaa.

Launch of IntoUniversity Leeds East
Our first centre in Leeds officially launched on Wednesday 25th February in partnership with the University of Leeds and The Queen's Trust. Guests enioyed speeches from IntoUniversity CEO Dr Rachel Carr, University of Leeds Vice-Chancellor Sir Alan Langlands and Professor Viv Jones, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Student Education at the University of Leeds. Guests also heard from two fantastic IntoUniversity student speakers: Elsa (Year 8) and Ricardo (Year 5).
The launch of the centre received coverage in the local press, including in the Yorkshire Post.
The University of Leeds also kindly filmed the event and interviewed many attendees - you can watch the full video here.

Launch of IntoUniversity Oxford South East
Tuesday 3rd February saw the launch of our first centre in Oxford, IntoUniversity Oxford South East, which has opened in partnership with the University of Oxford, Christ Church and The Queen's Trust. Guests, including students, staff, parents and a wide range of IntoUniversity supporters filled the Jubilee 77 Centre in Blackbird Leys to celebrate the official opening.
Guests were addressed by Professor Sally Mapstone, Pro-Vice Chanceller for Education at the University of Oxford, Professor Martyn Percy, Dean of Christ Church and James Lambert, Chair of Trustees at IntoUniversity. Guests also enjoyed excellent speeches from two IntoUniversity students: Denzel (Year 10) and Ellise (Year 6).

Three IntoUniversity centres set to launch in 2015
Our three newest centres in Oxford, Leeds and Brighton will all be officially launching this year. IntoUniversity Oxford South East, which is opening in partnership with the University of Oxford, Christ Church and The Queen's Trust, will be the first to launch on 3rd February.
