Associate Network Manager (Maternity Cover)

Location: London

Salary: £29,800 (including £1,200 London contribution)

Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover

Closing date:  4 November 2019 (9am)

Start date:  8 January 2020

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to act as our Associate Network Manager. This is a fixed-term maternity cover role from January 2020 to December 2020.

You will have responsibility for developing, overseeing and co-ordinating our Student, Staff and Volunteering associate networks. At the heart of this network is an online platform, IU Connect, with compelling and relevant resources for our student alumni, as well as mentoring opportunities.  The Student Associate Network operates an annual programme of events for members which may include networking events, work experience, training events and day conferences. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the ways in which university students use digital media and the kinds of resources that they will find useful at different stages of their university career.  The Student Associate Network is linked to the programmes our students take part in and the successful post-holder will also be expected to support with some delivery of the IntoUniversity programme. 

The role will be fast-paced and challenging. Each day you will be contributing directly to the success of the charity and the transformation of the lives of some of the UK’s most disadvantaged young people.

Safeguarding Manager

Location: Flexible (Bristol, Leeds, London or Nottingham)

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum (plus London contribution of £1,200, if based in London)

Contract: Permanent

Start date:  As soon as possible

At this exciting time of growth and expansion we’re looking for an experienced professional to join our team as our Safeguarding Manager.
 
As the Designated Safeguarding Lead you will be responsible for the management of safeguarding concerns across IntoUniversity and our sister charity, The ClementJames Centre, and will provide crucial safeguarding support and guidance to frontline staff who deliver the programmes in both organisations. From September 2020 this role will move to provide exclusive support for IntoUniversity centres and staff as the charity continues to grow.
 
The role is exciting, challenging and varied. You will have a work history that demonstrates thorough knowledge and capability to manage safeguarding cases in an education setting and may have a background in Social Work. Crucially, you will also have a genuine passion for our mission and values.

Temporary Education Workers 

Locations: Bristol, Nottingham

Salary: £22,000 (pro rata)

Contract: Fixed-term contract until 21 February 2020

Closing date:  There is no closing date for this role, so please apply as soon as possible

Start date:  21 October 2019 (or as soon as possible)

We are looking for high-calibre candidates to be Temporary Education Workers in our Bristol and Nottingham centres. You will have responsibility for planning and delivering the programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support. 

The roles will be fast-paced and challenging. Each day you will be contributing directly to the success of the charity and the transformation of the lives of some of the UK's most disadvantaged young people. If you believe that all young people deserve the chance to achieve their potential regardless of their background and want to play a part in helping them succeed then we would be delighted to hear from you.
