Programme Support Tutors

Locations: Brighton, Coventry, Oxford, Liverpool, Manchester, Southampton

Salary: £22,000 per annum (pro rata) -  pro-rated salary is £8,477

Contract: part-time, permanent

Start date: The role is available from 2nd September 2019 (negotiable)

We are looking for high-calibre candidates to join us as part-time Programme Support Tutors. You will work closely with our existing IntoUniversity teams, acting as a tutor at after-school Academic Support sessions and supporting the team with programme preparation. 

Our ideal candidate has either paid or voluntary experience working with young people, is well-organised and efficient, a good team-player and is someone excited and enthusiastic at the prospect of helping young people reach their potential.  You will have achieved a minimum of a GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English. You might be a retired teacher keen to use your skills to continue to support children or someone who wants rewarding work to fit in with the school holidays but applications are welcome from anyone interested. No specialist subject knowledge is required for this role and training is provided.

Centre Leader

Location: Clacton-on-Sea

Salary: £28,600

Contract: permanent

Closing date:  9am, 19 August 2019

Selection Day:  23 August, in London, or as otherwise agreed

Start date:  To be agreed

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take up a permanent role as Centre Leader at the IntoUniversity Clacton-on-Sea centre. You will have responsibility for running the centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders (including our university partners) and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. However, a substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

The role will be fast-paced and challenging. Each day you will be contributing directly to the success of the charity and the transformation of the lives of some of the UK’s most disadvantaged young people.

Contract: fixed-term maternity cover

Start date:  Mid-October 2019

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take up the role of Centre Leader at the IntoUniversity Nottingham West centre. This is a fixed-term maternity cover role from mid-October 2019 to December 2020. You will have responsibility for running the centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders (including our university partners) and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery.
