Leeds Extension and National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) Project Leader

(Maternity Cover)

Location: Leeds

Salary: £29,600 per annum

Contract: Full-time, 12 -month fixed-term contract

Closing date:  9am on 27 January 2020

Selection day:  4 February 2020, in London

Start date:  9 March 2020

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take up a 12-month fixed-term role as Leeds Extension and National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) Project Leader. You will have responsibility for delivering our Leeds Extension and National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) projects. NCOP is a joint initiative across universities, colleges and third sector organisations to provide a programme of activities and support for students in Year 9 and above at schools and colleges in areas where progression to Higher Education is lower than expected. The Leeds Extension Project delivers the core IntoUniversity programmes to a wider student base from our Leeds East and Leeds South centres.

You will manage your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders (including our university partners) and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

If you believe that all young people deserve the chance to achieve their potential regardless of their background and want to play a part in helping them succeed, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
