Can the young people I work with take part in IntoUniversity’s out-of-school programmes?

Even if the school that a young person attends does not meet our criteria for in-school programmes, IntoUniversity centres also run an after-school Academic Support and a Mentoring programme which individual students may be able to attend.

As a charity we aim to reach a particular target groups of young people with our work and so for most of our programmes we therefore only welcome pupils who meet set criteria, including, but not limited to, being eligible for free school meals, living in social housing and being care-experienced students.

IntoUniversity does not use academic criteria; the charity works with all young people who meet the IntoUniversity referral criteria regardless of their academic ability and learning needs.

If you think one of the young people you work with would be eligible for our out-of-school programmes, please contact their local centre.
