Be part of a team of enthusiastic undergraduate students, introducing 12-13 year olds to University life through an interactive one-day programme at your university.
As part of a team of at least eight volunteers you will welcome a group of young people to your university to help them understand more about higher education. You will lead the students on a planned campus tour before delivering an engaging workshop designed in collaboration with IntoUniversity staff.
Previous themes have included:
- Economics, in which students bought and sold shares in a live trading game
- Medicine, in which students tried their hands at assessing symptoms and diagnosing illnesses
- Law, in which students set up a mock courtroom and debated issues affecting young people
To apply for this programme you must be studying at one of the following universities: Goldsmiths, King's College London, LSE, UCL, SOAS, Queen Mary, Imperial College London, New College of the Humanities, The University of Nottingham, The University of Bristol, The University of Sussex and Oxford University and Leeds University.
All volunteers receive full training and will be supported in designing an interactive session. The visits take place on Wednesdays at university campuses in London, Nottingham, Bristol, Brighton and Oxford. The visit will last from 10am to 2.30pm.
