Our people
Emma Bornebroek
Lead Senior Education Worker
Emma Bornebroek joined us in August 2017. She has a degree in Natural Sciences from University of Cambridge and a Science Communications Masters from Imperial. She previously worked as a Lead Instructor for Mother Nature Science.
Emma Harrison (on sabbatical)
Senior Education Worker
Emma Harrison joined us in July 2023. Emma studied Sociology at the University of Manchester and previously volunteered at IntoUniversity Leeds South and completed a year at CityYear.
Emma Norbury
Centre Leader (Designated Safeguarding Officer)
Emma Norbury joined us in March 2024. Emma has a degree in English, an MA in Contemporary Literature and a PGCE Secondary English from the University of Hull. She worked as a Secondary and sixth form teacher for 16 years, teaching A Level English Language, English Language & Literature, English Literature, Media Studies and Film Studies. Emma also worked as an Outreach Officer for The University of Hull.
Emma Tilsley
Programme Support Tutor
Emma Tilsley joined us in September 2025. She studied Education Studies at the University of Warwick. She has previously worked as a qualified swimming teacher for six years, completed a placement with Carers Trust Heart of England supporting young carers in Coventry, and worked as a Student Inclusion Officer at the University of Warwick, where she carried out a university-wide research project and assessed the Reasonable Adjustment document for disabled students. More recently, she has been working as a carer in care homes supporting elderly residents with a variety of needs.
Evan Lewis
Education Worker
Evan Lewis joined us in August 2025. Evan studied Sports Science at Durham University. He previously worked at Bede Sixth Form College in Billingham as a Personal Progression Coordinator, Head of the Student Ambassadors Programme, and in Learning Support. Most recently, he was a Project Coordinator for the Schools Out Sports In holiday HAF programme.
Eve Burniston
Senior Education Worker
Eve Burniston joined us in September 2023. Eve has a degree in Childhood and Youth: Theory and Practice from the University of Sussex. Previously, she worked as a University of Sussex Widening Participation Peer Mentor, WeSpeak Lead Facilitator and Explore Learning Tutor. Eve also volunteered as a University Student Mentor at our Brighton centre.
Eve Hemsley
Centre Leader (Designated Safeguarding Officer)
Eve Hemsley joined us in March 2023. Eve has a degree in Sociology from Newcastle University. Previously, they worked in Recruitment at Greggs Head Office and also volunteered as the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Representative within the Sociology department at Newcastle University.
Farrell Monk
Financial Controller
Farrell Monk joined us in March 2021 as our Financial Controller. Farrell has spent the best part of the decade working in finance for various charities, most recently at Causeway Education and The Royal Society.
Fatma Sufi
Education Worker
Fatma Sufi joined us in August 2022. Fatma studied Education at Brunel University London and previously did work experience at a Primary school.
Finlay Briggs
Education Worker
Finlay Briggs joined us in August 2025. Finlay has a degree in Primary Education from York St John University and a qualification in Childcare and Education from East Riding College. Before working at IntoUniversity he worked as a primary school teacher.
Floss Wilkinson
Senior Education Worker
Floss Wilkinson joined us in July 2024. Floss has a degree in International Relations and Italian from the University of Exeter, and has volunteered as a kids’ church leader as well as an assistant ESOL teacher.
Fred McNamara
Programme Support Tutor
Fred McNamara joined us in June 2025. He studied Media Studies at Grimsby Institute, and later completed a degree in Creative Writing and Film Studies at the University of Hull. He also holds a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education from Grimsby Institute. He has previously worked as a Video Journalist at Estuary TV, a Festival Communications Assistant for the British Science Festival, and a Constituency Caseworker for Lia Nici MP. He later worked as a Research and Content Executive at the National College and has also worked as a freelance writer, author, and editor.
